MS, LPC, NCC

I believe that our past experiences shape how we think, behave, and react to new experiences. However, some of our beliefs, fears, and habits are hindering us in the present and negatively affecting our behaviors. I view my role as helping you develop alternative ways of thinking in order for you to reach your desired goals.

I have completed my Master of Science degree in Counseling at Southern Methodist University. I have experience counseling in a variety of settings, such as a university Counseling center, and sites of multiple crisis situations including but not limited to schools, community settings, and private practice.

My therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, empathetic, warm, and inviting. I specifically utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the primary treatment modality. With adolescents, I utilize activity therapy. I foster a good therapeutic relationship with each client by quickly developing strong rapport. This approach provides a safe place for you to not only unlearn previous thinking patterns and behaviors, but to also learn and practice new skills to reach your goals.

I am currently accepting new clients. I work with children, teens, adults, and families including parent training. Parent training involves choice-giving and boundary setting which create the fundamental structure that is imperative for the healthy development of children and adolescents. I believe healthy communication between children and parents are essential for your child to thrive.
